Context

The design brief dated 09 August 2024 set out a cardboard packaging project for Donat Melava. Its requested direction was gentle, melting, and mood-boosting, with a visually interesting, simple, and memorable approach for audiences from teenagers to older adults.

Goal

Create a donut package that translates the message “Break the Lava of Delight in Your Mouth” into an easily recognisable visual system.

Process

The process followed the one-week planned timeline in the brief. Specified text elements included a type mark, key message, and industry address; the dieline then arranged those elements across the package panels.

Decisions

A sprinkled donut logo formed the visual identity. A chocolate splash represented a melting donut, while brown supported the warmth, comfort, simplicity, and classic character described in the design philosophy.

Outcome

The project archive includes a packaging dieline, an open-box mockup, and an Instagram-post mockup, applying the visual direction to packaging and promotional contexts.

Reflection

This project focused on connecting the brand message, logo form, chocolate splash, and colour so the melting direction stayed clear without making the composition feel complicated.
